89 F150 Ext Cab in DFW - Just Got It
Just got me a 89 F150 Ext Cab and Can't wait to tear into it.
Traded 1988 Bronco II for this truck and while I liked the bronco, I love the truck.
It's in rough looking shape, but rather trouble free otherwise.
Will post more later.
Anyone local in DFW?
I'm in the Burleson area (76028)

Okay,
ALOT more info on my 89.
Took it to get it inspected on Friday and without doing any maintenance on it, it passed inspection with flying colors!
Then the Inspector told me that he did a check (without my prompting) and he believes the 67,200 miles on the truck is ORIGINAL MILES!
DMV seems to agree! I called and they were able to check files and all the records seem to indicate that from 1989 to 1999, the mileage is right in line with what is showing on the odometer.
While the odometer is now exempt and has been since 2000, I seriously doubt it's been turned over. Can't prove it, but with the mechanical shape of the vehicle, I tend to believe it's only got 67,000 miles.
The paint is typical of what happens with a vehicle sits for long periods of time without being washed, but does get rained on.
Anyway, here's some pictures of the beast.

Sorry, your pic post got hung up in the automatic moderation and I just saw it to release it. Should not happen again.

Thanks for fixin it, thought it wasn't going to post.
I had an 89 as well, good truck. Ford seemed to have a problem that year with the paint. My truck was only 7 years old and all the paint was peeling off. Had it repainted by a local shop, and never had any other issues. welcome.

Like Pat said there are quite a few of us in the area.
