Hi to all;
Been lurking on here for sometime as I started contemplating jumping ship from GM to Ford. Reason being: my 2009 5.3 Silverado had stuck rings due to AFM and started consuming oil at the rate of 1 qt per 1000 miles with 55k miles on the clock.
Anyhow, after numerous attempts to fix the issue under warranty, GM wanted to change the pistons and rings (under warranty). Long story short, I decided it was time to cut bait and move on.
So now the driveway has a 2011 White F150 Screw, 6.5' bed Lariat that I bought a month ago with 5100 miles on it.
I must say, this forum was a large influence on my decision as there seem to be far less rants on these new F150s than exist on Silverado forums.
I knew the F150 was the truck to have when the most common argument on here was EB vs 5.0 and which one was better...
EB for me...
