Gum on mat?
take a clean white terry cloth...
towel, get it wet, ring out as much of the water as you can. lay as single layer of the towel over the gum. take a iron and rub it lightly over the towel and then rotate the towel to a clean area and repeat the procedure until all the gum has become soft and adhered itself to the towel...good luck
Get some charcol lighter fluid, put it on thier, clean off the gum, then get some water and rinse the carpet, works great. Will not fade carpet or anything. My dad had to do that to the green house carpet after he tracked in grease, and no problems about 5-6 years later.
I realize this is probably a little late, but an ice cube is great for getting gum out of fabric. Just rub the ice on the gum, and it will start to flake off as you pick at it. Definitely better than chemicals if the spot will be visible....
Yhea, guess my response is a little late too.
I don't come in interior care enough.
Home depot has a Gum Remover. It is basically that liquid that freezes stuff. Shoot it on the gum, freeze it, and peel it off.
