I have a 02 with the bench with the damn fold down arm reast. I was wondering if it is possible to take out the 60 part and put in a concole and another captin chair, like leave the drivers chair. Hpw much would this cost?? Is it possible?? I know its only a $400 option when you get your truck, but they didnt have any when I got mine at the dealer so i ended up with this, and I HATE IT!!! I want captin chairs!!! Do you have to drill to put in the concole?? And would the mounting be the same?? Has anyone done this?? Thanks!!!

Can I get a factory F150 console? Is it possible?? Also some of thoes sites didnt work because their down for matience and do I just cut off the middle part that is connected to the passenger seat?? Also how hard is this mod?? im only 16 and not that experienced in installing things like this. that artical says you must have BUCKET seats, I dont, how do i get rid of the center of the seat? I then found the post about cutting them down which I dont like having to do that, can I just get a factory captin chair and a console and install it???

The are a conversion shop and get them in from time to time. The only thing that you would need to do is put the bolts in the floor for the console but from what I have heard the holes are there you just need the bolts.

The bolts for the console bracket are M10, 1.50x25mm hex head and M12, 1.75x25mm hex head. The Lowe's part numbers are 138212 and 138411, respectively. I got the console from LWM and it came with everything except the mounting bolts. All of the bolt holes are already installed in the truck but the unused ones have a black plug that needs to be removed before the new bolts can be installed.


You could ask around for a reference to a local auto upholstery shop and have them cut the seat and reupholster it for you.
