hot/cold dial

I have a 99 F-150 XLT and the hot/cold dial stopped working. If I pull the **** off, the **** is keyed and fits onto a white plastic shaft. The shaft strips instead of turning and I can't adjust the temperature. I can't seen to even adjust it with my fingers of with a pair of needle-nose pliers. Anybody else run into this?

Thanks,
Jeff

Sounds as if you need a new switch Sturg.

SImple to change, but stay away from the dealer if possible, they want too much $$$.

(I might even have a few of these around the shop here somewhere)

Showya -

That would be nice. I thought I might have to replace the entire unit. I'll take the dash panel off and take a closer look. Let me know if you have something you think might work. I always try to avoid the dealer if I can.

You can e-mail me offline at: jeff.sturgess@amedd.army.mil

Thanks,
Jeff
