i'm painting the different panels and consoles inside my truck silver to match the exterior color, and for decoration. most of the parts just snapped off, but some i don't know how to take off... for instance:
1. the driver side airbag cover, on steering wheel...?
2. the passenger side airbag cover...?
2. the window/doorlock control panel, on both sides...?
3. the glovebox door...?
the rest came off easy and r done. i just need those 4 and ill be complete... don't know about the steering wheel airbag cover though...what do u guys think? thanx

hi
if your not sure how to remove air bag the best way without messing anything up is just tape around it
but if you feel that removing this is the only way find all air bag
fuses and disconnect and let set for 15 min. do not touch the truck during this time get a ford maniul and it should tell you the rest but remember its esier to tape around it

Driver's side airbag is easy -- two screws behind the filler covers on the back of the steering wheel. After removing those, carefully unplug the two connections behind the airbag module and it's off. Be careful. I wasn't particulary careful and nothing happened, but having that thing go off while unplugging would suck to say the least.
passenger airbag -- ???
window/door lock panel is easy (at least on my 99) too -- they just pop off from the front -- get your fingernails under the plastic toward the front and just pull up toward the back -- they should snap right out (the back is held down by a tab that goes under the front of the armrest)
glove box-- you should be able to fold it pretty far forward after pushing in the tabs that stop it -- then look at how it's hinged (I've never actually removed mine)
good luck
