1990 SHO Taurus seats
i have a question .
i came across a good deal on a set of sho seats that are in pretty fair condition.the
seats have all power functions.
has anyone attempted or installed this type in a 97 F-150 reg. cab.and if so.what modifications had to be done.
also may ma need to purchase new covers to match desert tan.
any help would be appreciated.
thanks in advance

hey 97, I just came across your post. Have you been able to find anything out?
I am not happy with the OEM seats in my 99 Expy (want some with more lateral support but NO leather) the aftermarket isn't much help unless you are ready to drop big bucks. I was considering swapping OEM seats from another vehical as well.
Let me know what you find out.
Thanks

Seats..get a tape measure....
Ok I have put seats from different manufactures in my cars about 3 or 4 times now and it can be a pain or really easy depending on what cars we are talking about. Ok first look at your seats now and take measurements of how wide, tall and far apart everything is. When you have all that then measure the seats to see how much you need to "play" with the seat to install it.
Also look at how your seats are mounted now, sometimes you can just bolt the seats right onto the frame and tracks really easily. Right now I have a set of MR2 seats in my Samurai and they fit great, the front bolted up perfectly but I had to make a bracket for the back.
Remember changing seats could be dangerous if not done right. Think about it, in an accident the seat belt holds you in your seat and it can't do its job if the seat is flying around the cab because super elcheapo bolts were used. This is the time to spend the money on the good hardware.
