Steering wheel question

I just got a new factory steering wheel for my 95 F150 XLT. There aren't any threaded holes in it for a steering wheel puller to get the old one off. Has anyone ever replaced one of these wheels? I have a factory shop manual, but they don't address this. I plan on transferring my air bag over to the new wheel. Thanks in advance.

take the center bolt out, then put it back in like 1 or 2 threads. Grab the wheel at 3 and 9 oclock and pull one side while pushing the other side as hard as you can, then reverse the push, pull. Then grab it at 12 and 6 oclock and do the same thing. It will feel like you are gonna hurt the tilt column, but it wont. Then after you do that a few times you can grab it back at 3 and 9oclock and wiggle it while pulling it off. The bolt will catch it before it hits you in the nose.

I wonder how many blood faces it took to figure out to put that bolt back in before you started yanking on that wheel? I can just picture some Billy Bob Joe tech of some small dealership when the service manage says "Hey, Billy Bob we got another steering wheel change for ya" LOL

Disclaimer: Not trying to make fun of any dealers or techs just my wierd sense of humor. I know how some people like to twist things around and get up tight over nothing on here at times.

Ive done plenty without the bolt on there, it can sit you back in the seat quickly, but actually if you rock it back and forth like i was talkin about, it loosens it up where you can wiggle and pull it off gently. The steering wheel material is pretty soft and acts a little like lead. Rocking it kinda mushes out the hole on the center to make it slip right off. Then the tapered shaft just mushes back into it to hold it tight when you but it back on.
