Unhappy Seatbelts in Extended Cab

Just got done test driving an 02 extended cab this morning. Looking to replace my old beast. Loved the truck, however the post from the seat belt is mounted on the top of the seat itself. The problem is the damn thing isn't very high and can't be adjusted. So with the seat belt on the damn thing digs into my shoulder.
Has anyone raised the post for the seat belts in their ex-cab? Is it even possible?

I don't think adjusting the seatbelt post is possible. My solution to the problem was a $3 seatbelt pad from WalMart. In my case the belt rubs my neck and the pad cured that.

Thanks for the reply. I thought about the pad option but the belt is actually putting alot of pressure on my trap, shoulder area and I don't think the pad will help . The top of the post is a few inches lower than my shoulder.
If I can't adjust it, I'll have to figure out a way to afford a crew cab or just stick with a regular cab.

I think the seatbelt in the Screws comes throught the seat too. I really like the way the shoulder harnesses in my 98 Supercab works, I've never had a problem with them. I don't know if I like the way the new ones are designed.

I'm gonna bump this thread back up. I'm 6 foot 6 and I have the same problem. The shoulder belt is a mess and it really cuts into my shoulder. Pads are of no help. If Ford could figure out a way to make the housing a few inches higher it would solve the problem.

Com'n Ford. Not everyone is 5'10". Let's get a fix for this and supply it to people. It's a safety issue.

Thanks for the replies. I might just have to buy another used vehicle. I have seen some older F250 supercabs with the seatbelt mount on the frame. I think I saw the 02 with the same setup of the seatbelt mounted in the seat. It's driving me nuts that my choice of vehicle will ultimately come down to comfort from the damn seatbelt. I am just over 6'1" and commute an hour each way 5-6 days a week so this seatbelt thing is a big issue.
