01' f-150 pulls to the right...

I just noticed that my 01' F-150 pulls to the right when I let go of the steering wheel for a second or two. This is a fairly new truck. With only 18k miles. What could be the problem?

You might get more replies in the suspension or wheels and tires forum rather than the interior care forum.

But it could be as simple as unever tire pressure between the front tires.

I moved this thread to the wheels and tires forum. Jeff, I already checked my tire pressure, and I have exactly 35 lbs. in each tire.

Get the truck aligned. If camber is off as much as 2 degrees the truck will buck to the right or left.

check the alignment.

The age of the truck is irrelevant.

You said it pulls to the right? Thats the outside whell that hits curbs, sewer grates and gravel shoulders. ANy object you bump into will throw out the alignment.

and if our trucks got more than five years on....

it then you,d better look at that outside tie rod end, thats the one that takes the most abuse.i have a 97 and guess what i,m doing this weekend. started as a very slight shimmey on the right side. i checked the bearing for end play...nope...looked at the tie rod ends and the pass.side defanatly looked differant from the driver side(grease boot all crushed down and split). i aint waiting for that 70 mph seperation

Too bad this didn't happen while the truck was still within the 12/12,000 warranty for alignment. It's gonna cost ya a lot of bucks to get it aligned now.
