Question Scotchguard?

I just bought my L last friday and I love the seats, so, naturally I want to protect them. I bought a can of scotchguard last night to use on the interior. When I opened the door of my truck that beautiful new car scent slapped me in the face, and I thought would the Scotchguard cover that smell up? So, I waited to apply it and thought to consult here.

Well, will it cover up that new car smell???

I hope not.

I used Scotchguard on my interior last summer when new. I can't smell anything other than new pickup. I can't remember if it did leave a smell after it was applied. If it did it did not last.

Thumbs up

I did my interior right after I picked up my truck. No smell after the Scotchguard dried. It was really stinky when I was doing it though. Make sure you leave you doors open while it's drying. It makes a world of difference cleaning the inside of my truck after camping trips and wet dogs get in there. Good luck.

Same with me...I put Scotch-Gard on the carpet and the seats the same day I brought it home. As soon as it dried, the smell was gone leaving the new truck smell.
