Curious if anyone has installed the ford part that replaces the rearview mirror with an electrochromatic one that displays temp and direction.

Well, i ordered it today, and will install before the end of the day saturday, i'll post pics for any interested...

 

I installed one on my 99. The hardest part was dressing the wires. Only complaint was you couldn't use the compass and the temp at the same time. Really liked the auto-dimming feature. Will put that into any cars I get from now on. My 01 came with it already. The temp was pretty accurate. Hope this helps

 

Yup, it was nice putting it in, did it at night in my driveway. I ran the wires accross the top of the headliner, then down the a-pillar, to the fuse panel where i got the power. The sensor wire went through a grommet near the gas pedal, where i had already passed my sub and cb cables.
