Broken Seatback

Hey guys, I need your help.

My passenger seatback is broken. When I pushed down on the seatback realease lever to tilt the seatback forward, I heard a "snap" and when I tried to return the seatback to its original position, it would not lock into place and now tilts all the way forward due to the spring tension. It appears to be a problem with the tilt/lock mechanism.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so, what do you suggest?

Thanks,
Mike

Thumbs up Problem Solved!

A member over on the Lightning board just solved my problem. My seat now is back to normal. I've pasted his response to my plea for help below, just in case anyone else over here experiences a similar problem.

Thanks,
Mike

yeah, if you use the side bar then use the button on the back it'll screw up..

slide the seat all the way forward, then push the seatback towards the back glass, it should snap back into place.
if not try again, but this time pull up on the little lever and it will prolly pop back into place..

hope this helps.

Mine did the same thing on the second day of ownership. Of course I stormed into the dealer where the service advisor did this same fix. Boy did I feel dumb.
