2001 SCab with wrong seats?

I bought a 2001 SCab lariat in March. It has seats exactly like the 2000 models and before. I just noticed recently that the 2001 trucks have the new seat style. Do i have a misbuild. My manufacture date is 9/00. Thanks for any insight.

Hey there, I am a Ford Motor Company employee and if that truck was built in Kansas City, we changed over to what they call integrated seat belts in the seat in the last part of September of 2000. These seats were the only model change as far as interior goes for the ultra cab - that is the actual name here. I hope this helps you resolve your question, these seats are much heavier if you ask me, but look much cleaner in my opinion.

Any more questions email Boo!

My 2001 catalog has (Late Availability) printed beside every mention of the seats with the integrated belts. My truck was built in December '00 and had the SIR seats.

I also have an '01 without the seatbelts built into the seats, but they are not exactly like the seats in my '00. The armrest on my new truck is shorter and wider with 2 cup holders, and there is a part on the back of the seat preventing stuff from falling through when the arm rest is down. The shorter armrest doesn't smack the backseat passengers on the knees when I put it down.
