Question Interior carpet upgrade

---> <---

Does anyone have any experience(s) replacing the factory carpeting in an F-150?

Either a "fitted" aftermarket replacement or a remnant etc. from a carpeting store?

Also, what was the approx. cost of materials?

TIA... XLT_D

I am also interested in replacing my carpeting on my 97 F150 Xcab. Hoping that we will get some tips here soon.
I've been shopping around and found a molded OEM carpet at www.automotiveinteriors.com for $130 or so with the shipping. There are several other sites with similar prices.
I'm wondering how big of a job I'm taking on removing the seats and all, having never done it, but ready to try!
I have seen a few threads where you need a T-55 torx socket to remove the seats. Good luck!

I installed Steelhorse leather bucket seats in my truck a few months ago. With a T-55 torx bit and a little help the seats will come out in just a few min. Just 4 fasteners (2 are torx and 2 nuts in the back.) I can't say too much about the carpet except I have a friend who did it to his :-( chevy :-( he said it took him about an hour (but believe me if he did it in about an hour any one else would do it in half the time) I mean come on he did buy a chevy.
