Box behind Front Bench 2008 F150 Flareside

Probably a dumb question but i just bought a 2008 Flareside, I cannot figure out what the box is in the back. Its about 3ft long and 6inches high, and you can reach underneath it.

More than likely a sub box. I believe that it was the factory sub enclosure looks like.
