I just purchased an 08 F150 with few options. AC and CD player are about it. I would like to add power doors and windows. I have done a bit of research and this is what I think I need to add the factory equipment:

Door panels (manual windows have a different panel)
power actuators
power window regulators
switches
wiring harness

It seems relatively simple to do. I don't want an after market kit as most of what I have found is recycled parts and they are about the same price as adding the aftermarket kit.

Am I on the correct path?

You can't really do a full factory install without purchasing a whole new main harness, fusebox, and a few other things. I guess anything is possible, if you have enough time, money, resources, and a good donor truck.

Pretty much, your best bet is aftermarket and make it look stock.
