The cup holder spring (silver U shaped metal spring) keeps popping out of place..Any permanent solutions to this? Thanks

 

Same issue here, man... I wish I could get it to stay in place. the lock works on it, but I have to have a good grip to be able to pull it open, rather than have the spring do all of the work. I hope someone can come up with a solution.
