Weathertech and Husky floor mats and liners
Weathertech and Husky floor mats and liners
I've seen a lot of recommendations for Weathertech and Husky floor liners and mats here, but I need to know specifically whether any of those will stay put on the vinyl floor in my 2007 XL. Both are designed for carpet, but I'm wondering if their custom fit means they'll sit down in that well and not slide around. (The Weathertech liners apparently won't work in trucks with a floor shifter.
)
Both are pricey, but I'd get one if it meant no more sliding around.
And yeah, I know some people think that having the vinyl floor means you don't need floor mats, but I plan to have this truck for a long time, and I don't even want to think about what would happen if I eventually wear through the floor and need to replace it. I want to protect it.
Thanks in advance!

I just got mine and there not "stiff". Heck, my rear matt was bent in half in the box it was shipped in. Highly suggest the Weathertech's!
There may be a difference in materials between the floor liner and the mats. Do you have mats, Dream?

I have the liners, I think they call them the digital mats. They are molded to the floor.
I paid hard earned $$$ for my personal ride, therefore I am willing to spend alittle $$ to protect the carpet from the everyday elements. Weather Tech mats are made in the USA and therefore I will pay the $$ for them. However the two work F-150 we have were ordered carpet delete and the factory floor mats do not have the clip to hold the mats in place. Dont beat up Weather Tech if they do not offer a mat for your ride. It takes big $$ to design these mats. If they only sell a few hundred it would not be worth the effort for the build.
What about getting cheap generic rubber floor mats? Cheaper and the rubber would hold in place against the vinyl better than the hard plastic Weathertechs or Huskys. It would still serve the purpose to protect the floor, and since you've got a vinyl floor, it doesn't matter if some dirt gets underneath or around the universal mats since it's an easy cleanup.
Just an idea.
