Since the floor mat covers around the holder for several inches, i took a piece of thin sheet metal and lifted my carpet and screwed the sheet metal over the pin and to the floor. Replaced the carpet and glued a scrap of carpet from my console mod over the missing hole. Floor mat goes on and covers the whole (hole ) thing!

Or don't worry about it since the floor mat covers the hole.

Hmmmm......You attached the sheet metal to the floorpan?

What is the purpose of the sheet metal? Is that what you attached the floormat holder to?

Please elaborate.....

I would not worry about if it stayed in one place.... It always slides under the pedals.

Um....yeah....I might have assumed a bit much in that I placed the tin "over" the post ( had to drill a hole the same size as the post that goes thru the floormat ) but didn't state that I drilled aformentioned hole. So I guess the tin does hold the pin in place. Yeah, thats what I meant.
