Radio Bezel Squeek!

I have a bad squeek from the wood grain radio bezel. When I pull it off and drive it goes any, seat it back in the clip holders and it squeeks like mad!

Any ideas on how to fix this? I was thinking of trying 3m Foam Tape.

Are there any visible signs of what part is rubbing. I'm asking because I have sanded down the high spots before with pretty good results. If that didn't fix it I would put duct tape in those areas to eliminate the rubbing.

half the day it was fine then in the afternoon it started squeeking again then tonight it was fine.

however I did figure out when i apply pressure to the radio itself the squeek stops totally. I think it might be overtight from when I removed it.

Well I have narrowed it down to the navigation system/radio that is squeeking. I removed it yesterday and put it back togather and the squeek is MUCH better, however it is still there on bumpy roads. What gives?!

Anyone got any ideas? This is starting to become annoying.

Take the trim and radio out. Get some felt pads. The ones you put under lamps, etc. . These can be bought at hardware stores, Target, Walfart, etc. Anywhere you have plastic to plastic or metal to plastic contact put a pad. Make sure you get the thin pads or if not, peal some felt off. Also, put some masking tape on the metal clips and the area around where the clip slides into. I have fixed many squeaks doing this.
