Rhino Line headliner or replace?

My headliner is shot in my 98 reg cab. The dealer wants $300 for a new one. I've seen the DIY kits, but they seem to have poor reviews. The local Rhinoliner guy says they can do the headliner board if I remove it and sand the foam off, they just have to use a special epoxy primer. He said it would run $8-10/sq ft for the whole job. Anyone try this, or see any reason why I should not?

I myself would much rather have an OEM headliner, check out some salvage yards and see if any trucks have one for you.
