Where too Find OEM Seats
Where too Find OEM Seats
Hey guys...I know there is a seat question below my post at the moment, but I was looking for a Drivers seat for a 2001 XLT in Tan sport cloth, with the built in seatbelt. I broke the lumbar support, and it had pre-existing small holes in it from the previous owner (wallet imprint etc) in the seat pad, and for xmas my parents said I could get a new one, does anyone know where too find one? its the 40-60 split with the checker-board sport cloth. Thanks!

chances of finding a nice one at this point are pretty low, my suggestion would be to go to your fav junk yard, buy a structurally sound seat, then hit the dealer for new covers, or find a shop to make them for you.
They may be available after market OR you could get a leather kit.

Dang...I was dreading a reply like that. I just wish someone made the same seat. I was debating the junkyard (leather re-do is a little more money for xmas than is alloted). I'm gonna ask the stealership tomorrow if they have any ideas. Thanks a lot for the reply though!

I don't know what changes Ford made to the floor pan and seat mounting, if any, when they redesigned for the 04 model
If you have a friend who has a 04+ truck do a few measurements and see if a newer truck seat will bolt in. If they will then you could get seats out of a newer truck, and if you are lucky even find them in a tan color that is close to matching or complimenting your interior.
Another way to find out if they will fit is ask you local salvage yard for the Hollanders interchange info. The bible of the LKQ trade it tells what parts from what vehicles will interchange.
