I just took down my entire headliner 2 days ago to fix my sunroof. Can you snap a picture of it and post it. It's kind of hard to visualize, unless you can give a more detailed description. Is the fabric peeling away from the backing or is the backing sagging off of the roof?

well im relatively new to the site so im not entirely sure how to post a pic. but the reason its doin it is because i took it off bout a month ago to put cab lights on my truck. wen i put it back on i was pushing on that corner a little hard and then 2 days later i noticed a little arch about 3in. in and 6in. long in front of my viser along the edge of the headliner. the fabric is peeling from the backing. hopefully this is a better description for you

Well, it can probably be fixed easy enough but I'm just worried about the cosmetics of the repair. Try this if it's possible:

At any Walmart, Lowes, HD, you can buy velcro, the kind that peels and has a stick side on the back. Can you get in between the fabric and backing at all to try and apply the velcro strips?

If you take a picture and put it on your PC, just right click on the picture, go down to properties and copy the website. To post it, put this:

Also, I don't consider myself too new and you have more posts than I do. This site must like to hand out senior memberships.

To post pictures just download them to your PC and then either go to a site like photobucket or google "Image Uploader" and use one of those websites to upload the image. Then just copy the web address they give you and post it here.

The headliner fabric has a foam backing. That fabric/foam is glued to a semi-rigid formed backing, similar in appearance to chopped fiberglass. When headliners begin to sag, the fabric is separating from the foam. If it's just the edge you may temporarily fix it but it will spread .......not repairable. Just take it out and have an upholstery shop recover it. MAKE SURE they remove the old fabric/foam! I took mine out, peeled the fabric off, carefully wire brushed the dead foam off and the upholsterer only charged me $70 to cover it.
