Painting dash

I have been considering painting the trim bezel around the raido and possibly the piece around the steering wheel. If someone could post the steps and the products they used it would be helpfull. Also any opions on color would also be helpfull, I was thinking maybe black. Pics are in gallery. Thanks!!

Finally got a chance to paint some pieces today. Turned out fairly good for someone with no painting experience at all. I have not applied any clear yet because i didnt see any that was for plastic's. Thanks for the helpful advice PolPilot . By the way, what type of clear coat did you use?

I used 3 coats of dupont color matched paint and 3 coats of clear. I just cleaned the surface and sprayed it. Those specs are just dust, its a slick finish
