i have a 1998 F150 XL 4x4 with a 4.6l and a 5spd. As the XL package did not come with a tach, i purchased an XLT guage cluster from a 1998. I do not believe that my truck has PATS (and it has manual locks and windows) and I was able to have keys made for $3.00 and they worked.

I believe that I read that the truck is already wired for a tach and I am wondering if this will be a simple remove and replace? Has anybody performed this on a 98?
