My dash board squeaks bad!!!

Alright I bought my 03 f-150 in July and everything was fine until winter came around the dash board started to squeak. I thought well since it's cold out maybe that's the cause. Well now it is getting warmer out and it's still there just getting worse. Getting tired of turning the radio up to ignore it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I called the dealer about it because I bought it used and got the extended warranty. They told me it would cost at the least $100. Anybody know what it is or how to fix it?

I've had pretty much the same squeek, and rest assured, it will go away on it's own. Actually, mine did it with the A/C on in the summer or when it was generally cold. Maybe by disassembling things from time to time has fixed it I can't say. Is it in the middle up by the windshield, around the defrost vents? Push lightly at the edge where it meets the other plastic (black or gray-forget) and see if you can replicate the sound. I may have pushed something against it to eliminate, but there is nothing you can do. Maybe not or stopping using armour all gets rid of it, now I usually just dust! If it doesn't, maybe put a foam strip or something between the spaces to cushion but also to put a seperating force on it so it doesn't flex.

I keep hearing this tapping/ticking sound in my dash its like right under the top. I have no idea what it is. Is that sortof what your talking about? I hear it when its cold also but when the inside is hot from the sun it never does it. Might be a cord inside?

Well I got e-mail back from the guy I bought the truck from saying to bring it up and he will see what he can do. I'd rather try to figure it out so they dont charge me up the a$$. It more or less sound's like it's coming from somewhere between the kickpanel and steering column. To me it doesnt sound like it's coming from the top at all. Only thing I've used to clean the dash and well all the plastic pieces was those armor all cleaning wipes. I will try to replicate the sound after work. Last thing this morning going to work it didn't do it at all but it was there last night and will probably be there again after work.

I got a rattle sound like in my lower dash below the radio or in the black like low dash area. I tore it apart and still having it. I am getting the vibration noises in the dash between 74-77 mph. Anyone know what the hell it can be???

Ok, also sounds familiar around the steering column that is, althaugh I've never had that problem really. I just say that plastic fastened to plastic beit with metal screws or those push in tabs is root for noises, and suprised there isn't more. If you push on any two joints they'll likely do it, just in our cases it's specific spots. Oh well, I'd quit with the Armour all to see if it helps, if you don't get it fixed. Keep posted.
