Driver seat discomfort
My seats were OK, on my 2004. 450 mile trip and no back problems, a little leg discomfort.
I added a dead pedal below the e-brake and that helped on long drives, somewhere comfortable to rest your foot. Takes the load off the back muscles. Adding passenger lumbar helped on long distance in the passenger side.
Then I added power to both seats. They became more comfortable because you could raise the front of the cushion and elevate the legs a little.
Finally I put leather seat covers in. The biggest place that helped was the armrest became more comfortable. The cloth was kind of coarse on my elbow skin...
Now the truck is very comfortable.
This may be more tinkering than most would want to do...

I rather like the course fabric. Ford is a bit inconsistent with seat comfort. My 97 Mustang had very nice, butt conforming seats, but my 02 Escape is like a wooden bench.
What kind of spacers, where from, and how hard were they to install? Anyone?
