connolly hide care

Does anyone know if Connolly Hide Care is sold retail? It isn't available at places such as Autozone, O'Reillys, Advance Auto, etc. Perhaps at a foriegn dealership (Jag/Audi/Porsche)?

You're not going to find it at any 'retail' types of stores that you mentioned. You may, however, find it at very high end automotive dealerships.

I'd suggest surfing around and buying it online as it's fairly easy to find via that media.

According to one of the guys that I trust most when it comes to high-end leather care and upkeep (Lenticular), this is the best stuff on the planet. I plan to order some very soon for my KR... Just need to burn through the stock of other leather products that I've accumulated since my first KR back in late 01'.

Thanks RP! I knew I could count on a guru!! Will get the boogie board out and start surfing.

Just wanted to give my new KR the best of the best and this forum has already given me some good tips. The NXT wax that was highly recommended is the best I have ever used. My friends couldn't believe that I waxed my KR when I had less than 300 miles on it.

Thanks again

here is some information I found concerning proper application of Connolly Hide Food (taken from a website that caters to Ferrari and RR type owners...

Connolly Hide Food
The "official" product to use on Connolly leather is a cleaning and conditioning agent sold by Connolly called "Connolly Hide Food." It is a lanolin waxy cream containing white spirit, intended for conditioning and cleaning your leather surfaces. Many Ferrari owners use this product with much success to keep their Connolly hides in top condition. It is not, however, the best choice for restoring Connolly leather. If your leather is in good shape and you want to keep it that way, then Connolly Hide Food might be a good option for you.

Hide Food comes in a small round container, and is available at most Ferrari dealers. To apply Hide Food, the container recommends you use a soft cloth, changing cloth surfaces frequently. Many Ferrari owners, however, report better results if the cream is applied with your bare hands. Apply the cream evenly, but sparingly, to all the leather surfaces in your car. Leave overnight, then buff with a soft, dry cloth.

Cheers,

pop

LOL... your friends think you're crazy... lol...

I had washed, clayed, polished (twice), and waxed (twice) my truck within the first 30 miles. LOL!
