My driver's side armrest in my 97 F150 XL is having a bad day... looks like whatever holds it in place at the rear has been damaged, and as a result, the top part of the armrest has been split in two right about at the midpoint laterally (from side to side, I mean) and the back half floats up and down. It looks like the kind of damage that could be done by pushing down on the back half of the armrest too hard, or trying to support a great deal of weight on it. My question is, is the armrest portion replaceable by itself or will I need to find an entire interior door panel instead? And are there appropriate instructions for removal and replacement of whichever part that someone can direct me to on the web?
