Some of us have installed the console from the expedition. It runs all the way up front to the dash. Do a search on Expedition Console.
If you want to use your arm rests you will need a console from an early Expedition.

Thanks for the response. I did a search and found the how-to on F-150 World.com.
That's not really what I had in mind though. The console on my truck is so short that I can't get my arm on the plush part. It's just not comfortable to use (I also think my seats were better in '99, but thats another discussion). If I could put the '99 console on my truck I think I'd be happy.

Center Console
Hello all,
Just bought a new '01 F150-XLT. However, I don't care for the center console/armrest (its about 4" shorter than on my '99). Does anyone know if you can install the earlier console design? Thanks.
