Dome LIght Intermittantly comes on
My '98 F-150 Standard cab sometimes decides a door is ajar, and the dome light along with the intsrument panel warning light comes on. I see no switches on the doors, so how is the interior lighting activated when a door is opened?
There is a switch inside that is not visible. Sometimes this switch sticks and causes problems such as you described. This problem has been talked about before..I think others have sprayed WD-40 or something like that into the opening to free up the switch. Ford Rangers also have this problem.
