Question INTERIOR PAINT

HEY GUYS......I AM THE KIND OF PERSON THAT LIKES DIFFERENT THINGS AND WAS WANTING TO SPRUCE UP THE INTERIOR OF MY RED 98 LARIAT 4X4. IT HAS GREY LEATHER AND EVERYTHING ELSE ON THE DASH, CARPET AND DOORS IS GREY TOO. I WANT SOME BRIGHT RED INVOLVED WITH ALL THIS GREY. I WAS SERIOUSLY THINKING ABOUT PAINTING SOME PANELS. THE RADIO, 4X4 AND HEATER CONTROL COVER....THE PIECE IN FRONT OF THE STEERING WHEEL, THE POWER W/L COVER....AND MAYBE A COUPLE OF OTHER PIECES. I THOUGHT ABOUT TWEED OR SOME KIND OF FABRIC BUT I DO NOT THINK THE PANELS WILL GO BACK ON RIGHT....I HAVE FOUND SOME "INTERIOR PAINT" IN JC WHITNEY, BUT I AM NOT TO SURE ABOUT IT. IS THERE A CERTAIN KIND OF PAINT? PROCEDURE? ANY SUGGESTIONS OR HINTS...PICTURES OF CUSTOM INTERIORS...HELP!HELP!HELP! I NEED SOME ADVICE ON THIS.

I saw the same product in JC Whitney and want to do it too... i dont know about the home job though. My little brother did up his Probe interior but he had a local paint shop shoot his parts... looks awesome but no pics. Sorry. The best part of it all is he did it for pennies. I think he just bought the paint and that was it. Check out some local shops and see what they tell ya.

You could try ordering a wood(plastic)or
carbon fiber dash trim kit and have it painted. That way if you ever got tired of it
you could just take the pieces out and be back
to factory in less than a half hour. they make door sections too that cover the areas around the armrest switches.
Have fun,I've been wanting to do that myself. I'll probably use a pearl met. dark
brown for my tan interior, should look really sharp! Hey,maybe I'll use some
chameleon paint from house of color!!
