The captain's chairs in my 98 SC were squeaking when you would sit down in them. The dealer replaced the springs for both seats, but it was a big mess! They had to order the parts, and then the dealer had to take apart both seats completely to do the work. They did not get them back toghether correctly, and I had to take it back twice to get things better. I still need to adjust a few things, but I have given up on the dealer's ability to do this. Just a heads up....If anybody else has this problem, it might not be worth the fuss to get this done.

an upholstery shop could do a little better job with the fitting. Just be glad you have captains chairs and can actually reach in to the back seat for stuff. AS well as travel in comfort, have some storage space, and not have to put up with the plastic trim breaking on the 60/40. I'd love to have a squeaky captains chair. Sorry about your hassles.

 

The 60/40 seats are that bad? Man, i was originally going to get them, glad I didn't now.

Yes, they are horrible. Every time I get in to the truck I hate it a little more. If it were a 40/20/40 without such an obnoxious armrest or the intrusive plastic crap it would be much better.
