Just picked up my truck and that annoying headliner rattle is finally gone!Dealer pulled the headliner and inserted a piece of insulation (not sure what exact material) between dome light and roof structure above (Ford's recommended fix). It was covered under warranty.

Sorry about the xtra post...I'm kinda new to this and didn't realize we had a page 2. I'll let you know tomorrow as far as what the dealer says. Hopefully I'll have as good of luck as Cbask.

Yup. Obviously you are getting the replies emailed to you but the rest of us are sitting here reading this thread on the forum with post after post of you replying to individual people. It's ok though, you'll get the hang of it soon.

Back from Dealer

Just got back from the dealer. Took about 1/2 hour. They told me that the dome light assembly was loose inside the headliner. They took mine out and replaced it with one from another truck......and now NO NOISE!!!! So I guess it was more that something was loose then the dome light hitting the roof. It was a covered problem. Thanks for everyones input

I'm heading to the dealer tomorrow for the same rattle. If I go over bumps and lightly hold the dome light, no rattle. It also sounds like a wiring assembly or something, just behind the dome light is bouncing around. You can put your hand there and feel the "thump". This one is driving me crazy. I find myself taking my wifes car or avoiding bumpy roads. HELP..

Back from the dealer. I had to tell them to look for the TSB, thanks to this site. They were just going to replace the dome light. I saw a copy of the TSB and it's pretty extensive. Drop the headliner, pad the metal on metal connections in the hangers and install a shim kit around the dome light. Of course they have to order that so I'm going to hear this rattle for another week but I'm glad we're making progress. Thank you to all!! We'll get through this rattles together. :-).
