how to get passenger side vent out?

Hey all,

I'm painting several dash pieces and want to paint the passenger side vent area to match the other three in my truck....I've got have the dash apart (everthing from the left side to the radio bezel) but what's left looks like one BIG piece and i can't really see what to do to get it out.....

It looks to me like I'd really have to take EVERYTHING out of the dash to get over there....I'm hoping somebody has some insight here to help me out.

I appreciate it.

I had the same problem. I popped out the swivel vent with a small screwdriver (look at other side vent for refrence), masked off the dash and spayed it, then sprayed the vent in another color. Let them dry then pop the vent back in. Worked like a champ.

Question

Just curious. I am trying to find some door panels for my 97 F-150 but am not having any success. What kind of paint are you using? My panels are red and it might be easier to paint them than to find new ones.

I use dupli-color die on cloth and either dupli-color or fusion on the plastic. I haven't had a problem with chipping yet....
