Broken ashtray insert

Does ya'll have any idea how much it will cost to replace the ashtray insert? I broke the lid off of my buddy's newly acquired 2000 F-150 trying to show him it comes out...oops!! I felt so bad I tried to give him mine but he wouldnt take it.

Oh and if someone has one they arent using......hehe..

Thanks

Mark

Ashtray insert?

You mean the entire dash piece that comes in and out of the dash?

I'm not sure what you're referring to...

Sorry that I didnt make it clear what I was asking about...

The piece I broke was the insert that goes into the left side of the "cupholder" module that comes in and out of the dash. If you remove this insert, you get an extra cupholder.

Does this help clairfy?? The piece I need is the entire insert/ashtray.

I think I have the same broken part on my truck, see my post "Broken cup holder / ash tray assembly". Since I have posted, I found what I was looking for at Ford parts cheap .com, the entire assembly was just under 50 bucks. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Sorry I didn't get back with you on this but, it looks like you've secured the part you need!

Again, sorry.

I put my ashtray insert in my glovebox and use it as a change holder and I still have only 2 cup holder for a 3 seater in my single cab when my dad has 8 cup holders for a 6 seater in his 04 supercab f150.

I replaced my cup holder and was able to use the existing hardware already in the truck. I just took out the broken cupholder and swapped for the new cupholder, with out changing the mounting hardware. Now I have the thing fixed, and have an extra set of mounting brakets. It took about 20mins to complete, the hardest thing was getting the little light bulb back into the slot and lock it in place. You should have no problems with keeping the existing mounting hardware. Good luck.
