SuperCab rear windows
SuperCab rear windows
Did ford change something or what? My rear windows on my supercab do not pop out. I thought they all popped out. My 2000 F250 Had the swinging windows and my buddy's f150 has them, but mine does not. What gives?
Thanks

Nope
They don't all pop out - depending upon the year and the model.
On my '01 XLT they pop out - standard on all XLT's in '01.
I seem to recall they added pop-outs as standard equipment on Xl's one of the later years.
This is standard marketing by Ford on the F-150 - early design years (as with the '04's now) they short the lower trim models to sell you up onto the higher priced (and higher margin) models. Then in the subsequent years for that design, they migrate features down from the high trim models to the lower ones to maintain sales. Makes a new year of the same model "better" than the previous year.

Mine is an 03 XL. Maybe thats why they dont pop out. But my F250 was an XL as well, and they popped out. But then again nothing suprises me with ford anymore. Oh well no big deal, The only reason I noticed it was a buddy of mine was riding in the back the other day and lit a cig. I told him to pop the window and he told me it wouldnt. So no smoking in the back anymore.

Nobody smokes in my truck even with the windows popped out! That is a nasty habit and those who smoke should be ashamed to contaminate anothers airspace!
Why the statement "not surprised by anything with Ford"... sounds like a bad experience.
Our experiences with a vehicle is always subject to: first the dealership, then the service writer, then the mechanic, and ultimately ourselves.
