Replacing the steering wheel cover

Has anyone done this? I don't mean covering it with some aftermarket cr@p. I want to know how to remove my exsisting worn leather cover and replace it with a brand new one. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I've done one myself on a Porsche. Sittnig there for a couple hours trying to put the stiches in perfectly was a pain. I think I spent about 3.0 hours doing it.

Depending on what your time is worth - upholstery shops might be a better deal.

I got some slightly contrasting thread, a little lighter brown that was exactly on the color of the thread in the seats. It looked like a Jaguar - if you are going to change it might as well have a little fun too!
