Installed a 60/40 bench...
Well I found a gray 60/40 bench seat on ebay for $170 the other day. It's in good shape and I picked it up locally so I didn't have to pay shipping charges. Installing wasn't too much of a pain, but it was fun finding where the holes are in the floorboard. It consists of 8 bolts instead of the 4 for the regular bench seat. The first time you cut throught the carpet is pretty frightening. My brother in law and I did it in a couple of hours. All the holes are there, but they aren't tapped. Luckily I have a tap and die kit. So we tapped out the other holes and got the seat in with little to no problems. Only strange thing we did is that we didn't realize that the 40 came with a receiver belt attached, so we installed the one from the orignial bench as well. Now I have two receivers for my seat belt. Oh well, it looks good and It's just a little reminder of the hard work. If anyone is thinking about swapping seats, I would highly recommend it. These are much nicer than my original cloth bench. Next up is swapping out the new instrument cluster I bought. More fun...
