I have the manual lumbar supports in my 2001 S-Crew and they creak something awful. If I crank them up at all to get some support, the springs or whatever is inside sound like an old worn out bed. I can't even drive on normal roads 'cause they creak so bad at any bump. The vehicle only has 25,000 miles on it and is still under warranty. Has anybody else experienced this? What did you do to cure it? It really sounds bad and it is embarrassing when I take somebody out for a ride.

Yup...

Lots of folks (me included) have had their truck's seats serviced by Ford.

If your truck is under warranty, they should do it for free.

 

Mine just started creaking this week, really annoying. Went to dealer they said i had to schedule an inspection... will do shortly..only 3k left on warranty. let me know how you make out

 

My 03 was two weeks old and started hearing noises, took it to the dealer and they told me that they (ford) have been having alot of problems with the upper part of the seats.., Dont ford think they should fix them?
