While I was searching here, I found a thread on how someone fit the expy console so that it was tight on the floor. I cannot find it now. I have been searching two days. Any help?

No use being stupid unless you intend to show it!

 

To get the Expy console to fit properly, you must cut the carpet where the brackets go and mount the brackets directly to the floorboard (transmission hump). Even with this, there will be a slight gap under the console sides but this is normal.
