Led tail lights not coming on

Hey guys I'm new to this site. I tried putting in some led headlights with my led tail lights but the passenger side doesn't come on and the led tail light won't come on when I turn the switch on. So I put the factory headlight back in and I came on but the led tail light will not come on sometimes. What do you all think? Thanks

What year truck. The newer ones have a canbus/bulb out system and won't turn on a LED that has low wattage. I highly suggest going back to halogen as LED headlight bulbs are going to be crap for output and are going to glare.

It's a 01! And they are halogen, but the problem was is that the fuse kept blowing, and my tail light doesn't come on. The brake light works and turn signal. Just when I turn the switch on for the running light, it doesn't come on. Should I buy a new led tail light too? Or would it be in the wiring

Sometimes when you get into putting LED's in as replacements you have to have a load resistor. At least that's what I turned to on mine. I paid like $20 for both L.E.D. taillights in mine and they worked for a day or two then after a while I noticed when I flipped my signals on, the lights would act as hazards and so did the front signals. When I had the headlights on it didn't do this. Then later it did it no matter what. I pulled the L.E.D. 's back out, put the old bulbs back in and it was fine. You can get that load resistor at Walmart as far as I know. It may fix it

Ok so ya you don't have a canbus system, but if you're halogens then it wouldn't be them causing the problem. Go to your auto parts store and pick up the trailer relay triden EP27. That'll work better than running a resistor that gets hot and could cause a fire. The relay is under the drive side steering column. It's kinda a bear to get to. But I would start there. That'll take care of hyper flash too

Also, to make it easy to find the relay he's speaking of, simply turn on your directional and follow the clicking sound. The piece that's making the sound is the piece you want to replace.

What brand are the LED tail lights and where did you get them? Stay away from the Chinese stuff on eBay.

The only decent ones out there are sylvania zevo, most of the jdm astar and the leds on superbrightleds.com

Seriously, the cheap ones aren't worth it at all.
