Overhead map lights

Hey y'all .. I bought my 06 F150 a couple weeks ago and figured the passenger side map light was burnt out, no big deal. I ordered some LED replacements and come to find out the passenger side still doesn't work. No illumination when doors are open or when you press the plastic lens. I did not see any defects or imperfections in the circuitry when I had the console detached from the ceiling… Any ideas?

I'm assuming I would need a whole new overhead unit? Obviously, check the pick-n-pulls first.. Also, I have the factory power rear slider button up there, is that portion interchangeable or do I need a console with that feature already due to the harness/plug?

Thanks for any help or direction fellas.
Matt

LEDs are polarity specific did you try swapping the way they go in. I know I had mine wrong when I put in my LEDs. Took a couple tries to get it right.

Ya, I tried that too. Looks like I'll have to dig around a little further.
