They're a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Sorry for the late reply. Got my Morimoto's installed in maybe 15 minutes per side and couldn't be happier. I didn't get to fully appreciate them until the last month and a half or so because it's too darn bright here in Alaska during the summer. Now that it's dark at night, however, they have great dispersal and wide beam that is excellent for spotting wildlife on the side of the road. I paired them with a LUND bullbar with built in single row 22" LED bar, and the amount of light I get on the dark highways and back roads is such a difference from OEM. My last upgrade, a set of ORACLE H13 LED headlight replacement bulbs is on the way now. While light output is about what you'd get out of Silverstars or other juiced up halogens, the color temp (5000k) will better match my LED bar and fogs, which both run at 5500k. Since I have to remove the entire assembly to replace the headlights, I'm going to replace the turns with some nice LED switchbacks, and the side markers with LED's as well. I look forward to the improved output, custom look, and basically never having to replace these stupid bulbs again for as long as I plan on having this truck.

Don't speak to soon. Oracle makes absolutely horrible LEDs. No offense but they will probably die within 6 months. And secondly LEDs in reflector housings won't be added output it'll actually end up being worse... Retrofit man, its the only way to go.

All of the reviews I've read have been stellar, from Amazon to local groups. I've been researching brands for over a month and finally decided on them. The only complaints I've seen come from people installing them incorrectly, as L and R matter, as does orientation of the bulb inside the housing.

As for retrofitting, I'm not comfortable cutting into my headlight housing, nor am I willing to pay someone else 600 bucks to do it. I'll be sure to take several before and after photos, and if after installing them I find that output is indeed diminished, I'll send them back and get a set of Nighthawks instead.

UPDATE: After doing more research, I concluded that you were right, Lariat. Apparently, "Oracles" are just a Japanese off-brand kit you can buy on eBay from 50-70 dollars that they just slap an Oracle sticker onto and sell for twice as much. I just cancelled my Amazon order and requested a return label. I'm just going to buy some Silverstars like I said, and start a savings account for a set of OEM 2013 HIDS with the 55w upgrade. Thanks for the lookout. After I checked my ego, went back and did some deeper research, you were right on the money.
