Headlights

Okay so I wanna put new headlights into my 2003 Ford F-150. I was gonna get smoked halos but heard mixed things about them not bein to bright and everyone has them. I still like the halo ring though. So question. What's a good after market solid 1 piece light that is smoked and bright as hell. Or can I get halos and swap bulbs ? Don't wanna keep the stock headlights. Just because I don't like the looks of them and I wanna put a one piece light in not that headlight/blinker like they come stock.

I was just looking online. What's the brightest bulb. 4,500 k crystal white or 12,000k violet ? Next it says I can upgrade to CCFL Halo Rings. What's the difference ? Third it says you can have a warning canceler added to. What is that ? Thanks !

You can't have smoked and bright. Not possible.
All 1 piece lights are crap and have crap output, and have crap fitment.
I myself love the lightning and Harley style lights.

Brightest HID is going to be 4500k
I DO NOT suggest putting hids in halogen projectors/reflectors. The output will be scattered every where and light will be thrown into on coming traffics eyes.

There are 2 types of rings , LED and CCFL.
Your year truck doesn't need bulb out earning cancelers. Just buy the regular wiring harness.

Ugh.... mgd and lariat gave ya some pretty good advice

Spend $500-$700 with this guy and don't ever have to worry about junk>>>http://www.hidretrofitlights.com

And there's more than enough members on this forum that would get some retroing done for you at a reasonable rate too

Those headlights are junk what don't you understand? And they aren't many for hids so putting hids in them make it worse..

Yeah, they're junk.

OP - please spend some quality time reading through the info links I gave you - you'll gain a lot of baseline knowledge that's crucial to conducting cogent discussions about retrofitting and HID lighting in general. It'll be worth it. (A couple recent fellers who didn't bother reading the material keep asking the same pedantic questions and end up going nowhere - they know who they are, lol). So again - please do so.

You can also visit/call/email/PM these fine retrofitters - I'm sure you'll find something you like - they build to order and can customize any way you wish.

And I reiterate - you don't need to listen to me ( you never have, so why start now eh?), but please listen to ol' Larry-At and ol' '88!

Best o' luck!

Here's a link for headlights. Anyone ever use these or know how bright they are? Can they have HIDs installed into them ? Anyone know how they produce light ? Just curious ?

No those are halogen headlights, they can't be run with HIDs properly. Those leds usually burn out quick too
