Both HIDs quit at the same time

Have 10,000k HIDs in my 2008 FX4, used them at night, worked perfectly, went through some ater, still worked, but when I went out the next morning they both didn't come on. Everything else works perfectly. So i had an extra set of regular bulbs kicking around and they work, so what could be wrong with the HIDs?? Some people are saying its the Ballasts but each HID has its own ballast so if one goes go they both quit?

Are you running a relay system?
I'm guessing you fried your el cheapo ballasts. Go back to halogen and quit blinding everyone.

The relay went bad.

I'd put the halogens back in. Believe it or not, 55W halogens are brighter than 10,000K HIDs

I'm the one that said I thought his ballasts got wet and ruined. But after I just had a relay get soaked for my offroad lights and they can't be controlled properly, could def be a relay too if he's got one.

Gotta waterproof everything. I was going to refrain from telling you to remove the lights, but I agree it's best to take them out.

Most ballasts are water-tight nowadays, even the cheap $35 ones from China. And the chances of both of them failing at the same time are pretty slim. I'd most definitely say the wiring harness/relay
