I should know from how much I talk to you, but is your dad's place a "mom and pop" independent? I wish we still had some around down here. I'd like to support them, but the giant Lowe's/Home Depot conglomerates are all I really have access to. I assume Menards is like Harbor Freight almost?

80 years now? That's impressive! I hope there are enough folks giving y'all business!

Ah. I don't really care for the "have it all" Walmart types.

And that's exactly what I was trying to let you know, the general cost of components, and what a well-done retro, like one of Saleen's, is worth paying for!

Lariat, that's so stupid. That'd be burning $25-30 in gas for me to NOT support my local shop . . . idgits

Right! Just so they can save 15-30 cents on a couple of parts.. And people wonder why are small town has higher prices. We have to just to stay afloat..

Sorry for the hijack. It started out within the means then spiraled out of control haha.

As main running lights, I guess they stay hidden being black a lot better but put out of lighting. Are they illegal for street driving?

very bad for using for driving. Its worse than running PNP HIDs. The light pattern is meant for off road use only.
And yes in some states illegal..here in Michigan all you can have is 4 lights in while driving 2 heads 2 fogs. And only 2 when in high beam..

Heck I got pulled over for my raptor style LEDs in the grille and was told I can only have them on when parked.. Needless to say that never happened.

PIAA does make some fog light beam pattern that might not be bad for using while driving. It won't throw light far but will prolly be pretty wide.
