upgrades for fogs?

After driving my new 13 FX4 for a few weeks, I need to upgrade the fogs, they look out of place with the factory HID's. The stock bulbs are 9140's (I think). Is there a projector upgrade for the round fogs or at least an led upgrade for them? I would even consider a brighter and whiter bulb as long as it wont melt my housings.

Silverstar is your only option for now, unless you custom retrofit a set.

I just found a set of 9145 LED's that use 12w and put out a 6000K light.

This.
Those leds will only be for looks. You'll lose almost all output.

Actually that's what I want them for is looks. I don't need the fogs for out in the middle of nowhere driving or offroading. I live in the city and drive in the city.

Then ya try to find something that is close to 4300k. That is the color of the stock HIDs.

Does the 09-10 model fogs use the same housings as my 13? The reason I ask is I found a HID projector conversion set for fords round fogs on 150's but they only list it as fitting 06-10. They also have just angle eye projectors for the same trucks.

Go for the LEDs then, however make sure the length of the bulbs does not exceed much past the 9140 bulb length or it will hit the lens and prevent the bulb socket to connect.

Changing your factory headlamp bulbs to a 6000k color would be a nice touch, or even 5000k for more functional outcome of it.

Pretty sure they are the same. The fog lamps themselves are probably the same as '06/'08 just different mounting brackets for the different bumper.

I would rather spend a buck twenty for the hid projector conversion than 270 for 6000k D3S bulbs.

It's a nice setup, by I do not want to do any permanent modifications to my brand new 50K truck just yet. I want to be able to put everything back to the way it came from the factory if needed.

Those are halogen projector fogs with HIDs stuffed in them. Not a good idea. Would honestly go with the 9145 led bulb with around 5000k color to get close to matching your stock HIDs

I used Hoen Xenon match bulbs. Similar to silverstars but I wanted to try them and I think they are a huge improvement.
