You mean evox-r in your stock housing?
If so those are permasealed so its gonna be a p.i.t.a. To get off. Just take your time with them. Oven at about 225°f for ten minutes. May have to do this a few times.

I have no complaints for the stock HID's. They outshine my 2000 Expy and 2001 Grand Prix as far as light output is concerned.

Ok im looking on theretrofitsource website, are the easy install kits worth it(overall production, not price)? And correct me if I'm wrong but with those I will not have to break apart the housings, I can just fit those in to the current housings I have?

They blow halogens out of the water, of course. But I was comparing them to other HID systems. There's nothing wrong with them at all, they're just outta most folks price range

You should still have to take the two pieces of the housing apart, but I could be wrong if the 09+s are different. Retrofitting a set of headlights is pretty involved

They also offer the PnP kits, are they worth spending the money on?

Hi.

In a word - NO. They are undoubtedly of good quality, but are meant for offload use only - still will present unacceptable glare and sub-par beam pattern in a stock housing on the public roadways.

And yes to yer Q aboot housings. In all cases you need to separate the lens from the housing, regardless of year.

Hit up YouBoobToob - plenty o' vidyas w.r.t. this process. There are also some on the TRS site.

No! They cause unwanted glare.

Yes the mini H1 kit or D2S kit is worth it if its you're first retro and not comfortable with cutting the housings.

You still have to pull the lens off your headlights to install any projector..

Now if you buy the 2013 HID headlights you don't have to take off the front lens to swap an evox-r into it. You just have to cut the plastic on the back to get to the projector and once the swap is done jb weld the plastic piece on.

^^^ Good catch, buddy!

I for one would not have the stones to cut up a '13+ OEM HID assembly

I'd imagine ol'KMACrackin' would have a phookin' seizure

Awesome awesome info guys. I have a much better idea of what is what. I'm still a tad leary on separating the lens. Are there any aftermodel headlight housings that I could use where I just put in the retrofit projectors? Basically I just don't want to have to separate the lens if possible

Sadly no. Even the Ebay ones you have to take the lens off swap the halogen projectors to the mini H1..
Taking the lens off it the easy part

Check out your local buy and sell for some 09-13 headlights. You should be able to find a good pair for $100, a great price to not be scarred and hack them up. Remove the clear plastic front, cut them up, and install your choice of projector, and seal back up. There are a bunch of people that said they wouldn't be able to do a retrofit themselves but did some research and it turns out for them.
